Teefs! Hehe, how do you like using backlighting?
I'm not used to putting backgrounds in there, but I've found that even simple ones make a big difference.

Back lighting (or rim lighting) is my favourite way to shade. <3

Yeah, I'm still awkward with backgrounds. But I want to practice and work towards adding more depth. :3

I have two modes of background it's either organized scribbles or really complicated, leaving the character tiny and a minor detail. There is no in between. *-*

Sometimes I looks at other people's art and wonder how they did it.
Other days I look at my own stuff and wonder how I did it because I can't even draw a stickman that day.

Or that hour...

SAME HERE.

Some days, I'll be able to make art I'm proud of. A piece that I know will help me develop my art further.
Then, other days, I'll stare at the blank canvas and it'll be like I've completely forgotten how to draw. XD
