How would I find these things?

on the computer it's pretty easy to find on the create new image window.

in this picture canvas size is 2000 px X 2000 px and the dpi is 600.

How would I find these things?

Usually when you make a new canvas you get something like this:

Or it gives you the option to edit it somewhere?

lol the options are for 350 or 600. I still occasionally get blocky lines. I'm not sure exactly what causes them but quitting out usually fixes it.

The only edit I found (that I see) is the edit brush button. I know I'm gonna find it & I'm gonna feel like an idiot. Maybe I need to sign up to edit stuff

Ah, maybe your layout is different. It might be restricted by Kindle. :/

Like Rose said, purples, greens, blues, and a touch of white. :3

I meant for the individual feathers.
I did that and it looked better, but I still need to add color. I tried but the lines looked messy and sideways. I found correction. I don't think it helped but I don't really know.

There’s this thing called the "#pastelgirlchallenge". You download the pastel girl app, make yourself a character, then draw that character in your style. (I don't really have a style, but I did it anyway. XD)

an example that may explain what I meant.

when it's zoomed in you can clearly see the horrible nasty lines but from a distance it looks more like light is reflecting from the tail.
