I've noticed this in arts of a pro from Disney. See how s/he just draws a straight line for shading? I seek to understand. WHY do they do this.

Im not sure, bright light and a doorway that isnt in the picture is what i would think looking at it.

His/Her other art doesnt have this kind of shading.
 
Hey guys I need some ideas.
What is the coolest thing you can do with a pinecone? Like, crafts or useful things or decorations?
Hmm you might be able to use it as a print. Paint it and roll it on kind of thing. Not sure it would look good though.

You could take it apart and glue the pieces down depending on the pinecone it mjght be long enough to look like short feathers or something.

Cut it in half paint it green and glue it upside down on a piece of paper to make a 3-d tree?

Doorway. Also maybe because it's the quickest way. Then she highlights a few spots to show form in the fur and body.
