I’m trying to draw something more cartoonish, but apparently that means that I can’t for the life of me draw even semi-decent anatomy. At this point I’ve just given up trying.

Drawing cartoony is hard. Something that you'll need to practice just like all the other things. It is very much limited detail. Hope it cooperates for you.
