The Smithfield Times ran an article about residents wanting to change the zoning laws to allow chickens. The article listed some wrong facts and I am interested in writing a letter to support the wannabe chicken owners. Can anyone give me some good pointers to put in my letter, please?
I also recently found out that the person that told us we were zoned ok to have chickens may have made a mistake. I'm trying to find out without drawing too much attention to myself, since I don't want to have to get rid of my girls. I hope the county clerk was right the first time. I want to get my ducks in a row, so to speak, in case I need to try to get the county to change the zoning laws.
Thanks!
