ChknGurl, yes a `Self Blue' Slate. He weighed in a 34Lb. last saturday. We are keeping a sharp lookout because someone made off with our neighbor's Bourbon Red (swiped right out of front yard) this past October! This is a shot from last year (is pretty frowsy at the moment just recovering from an `explosive' molt).

Thanks for the article. Shows how much I pay attention. I didnt even see it in the times. I talked to the DH and hes letting me get some turkeys next year. I think Bourbon Reds and maybe some Blue Slates.
