Wow, I started this thread a looooooooong time ago and nobody has joined.

Back in the late 70s I used to be a 'rink rat' at the local roller rink. Was there every day. It was great fun & lots of exercise & pretty social, too. Last year at 66 I tried to get back into it & couldn't find anyone that wanted to skate over at the park. The rink had closed. Bummer. Wasn't as easy as when I was young, but still a good workout. I took a boom box with me & was skating to Michal Jackson. I was having a pretty good time but the people who were walking their dogs around the park thought I was nuts.
