Artists we are not...

He had the idea in his head (we’ve “drawn” things before) but this morning he said he wanted to do a duck. He mapped it out in his head.... estimating where he should turn, angles, etc. we don’t get to see the picture until it is done and we close out our session so it’s always a surprise. He did pretty good at it...... we can at least tell what it is supposed to be.
Also it’s dark out there which complicates things when you can’t see landmarks. But he did this and he loves it! We can make it better when we have more time.

Every morning I take “Daddy Duck” for his morning training session at the lake. We use a GPS to track his swim’s distance and speed. At the end of the swim we get to see his path. Today he “drew” a picture for you all! Again, this is freehand (freeswim) and was totally spur of the moment..... meaning we didn’t plan it out and actually map it out. It was just a “get in and swim.”
Why do you train him, is he domestic?
is he wild?

I guess you could say he is domesticated :)

“Daddy duck” is my 14 year old son.... the proud “father” of BYC’s infamous RV camping ducks, Chuck and Buck (the actual real live ducks). James is a long distance, open water marathon swimmer with 8 world records under his belt (Speedo). James swims and trains daily. He was just having a bit of fun with his GPS logging system this morning on his swim.

That’s awesome!!!

Today James swam a “turkey.” Unfortunately our turkey didn’t come out as good as our duck....
