I received my first batch of chicks today! New Hampshires, 2nd gen Non-Gmo. They all came in alive and well after 3 days in the mail stream, all 15 straight run and the 5 free males they added to the box! Well I am assuming males, 5 have a marker dot/stripe on their heads This does mean I will be building a larger brooder sooner rather then later as I don't think my rubermaid will hold them for long, but then again free chicks!

Get working on that brooder and coop - they grow rapidly. Good luck with them.

I've got a wire fold-up puppy pen that I use for my rabbits and plenty of tarp and experience cobbleing things together. Sunday will likely see them in the first expansion. And if that fails? a 4'x4'x4' cardboard box was 'rehomed' from work.
