It's the hen I got from my daughter. She went through the treatment for cocci 5 days of corrid along with the chicks my daughter brought to my house. Should I treat her? And if so what with and should I treat everybody? I have chicks from 9 weeks to 12 weeks.
EDIT|. The worms were white and short and string like and not moving. There were 2 so I figure one which had been cut in half each segment about an inch or inch and a half long. I did not get a picture.
EDIT: I have 3 bsby bantams about 8 weeks old very very small birds. So if some one answers could you give me the name of what to buy and if I have to treat everyone the dosage for the chicks the hens and the bantams who don't weigh more then a newborn kitten.

Their last dose of corrid was 5 days ago. How soon after anitbotics can you treat for worms?

Here's one good thread about worms: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/538241/roundworms

Dawg53 probably knows as much about worms as anyone else on here. Dose is by weight so just do the arithmetic to figure it for smaller birds.

If you do decide to use Wazine (piperazine,) you don't need to figure dose as you add it to water -- just make sure it is their only water source.

Thanks so this is what I should do
Valbazen dosage is orally, 1/2cc for standard size chickens and 1/4cc for smaller chickens. Safeguard equine paste is orally, a "pea" size amount for each chicken. Safeguard liquid goat wormer is orally, 1cc for giants, 3/4cc for large fowl, 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc for smaller chickens. You need to redose in 10 days after the initial worming. There is a grand total of 24 days withdrawal. If these wormers arnt at your feed store, you can order them Jefferslivestock.com or call them.

My problem is my chiks dont have wattles yet how would I open their mouths?

so need to know how soon to worm they have been off corrid for 5 days.
Also should I start them on some sort of vitimens?

Purdue extension office says I dont need to treat chicks under 4 months old what do you all think?

All i can find is walzine can i treat the whole flock chicks bantams and all

I usually wait to worm my birds until the 8th-10th month depending on soil conditions, perhaps sooner if it has been real wet conditions. However if you see worms in a 4 month (or less) olds poop, I'd worm them with valbazen before any other wormer.

She passed a half dollar circle of worms this morning and I have not treated her yet. I have had her 11 days. I'm wondering why all of a sudden she is passing the worms? She get watermelon and zucchini I wonder if that is having a affect on the worms or the corrid.

If you're seeing worms, then you need to treat her. Wazine only gets roundworms. Valbazen is something that you'd have to order. You can order it from Jefferslivestock or Firststatevetsupply.com.
I ordered mine from First State on a monday and it arrived on that friday.
