Ascites Draining

Pics
I can definitely try to get a better picture soon.
That’s what I would think but it looks weird, it’s like her skin healed and created a fold with the scab. Hard to explain and I never saw a cut on her so I would assume breast blister.

I have drained her twice. She started in October and I gave her my herbal treatments and it completely went away until December I think, then I drained her first on December 18 if I remember correctly.
OK We'll see what it looks like when you get another photo.

You gave her the Aloe Detox or what is the herbal treatment?
Sounds like fluid is accumulating more quickly, so whatever is causing the symptom (Ascites) is taking it's tole on her.
I would get her hydrated if she's not drinking, the re-evaluate in the morning whether she needs to be drained. If she's doing chicken things, even at a slower rate and is interacting with her flock a little, then it may not be needed right now.
I know you are doing your very best to help her:hugs

I tried to take more pictures but it wouldn’t focus.
I do a mix of cinnamon, acv, oregano, and a tiny bit of water and mix it and give it to her.
Before I knew about lily of the desert I did that for one of my hens and it made her fluid completely go away for a few months.
And then I give lily of the desert aloe detox,

Looks like a scab, I would just continue to treat it like you have been doing.

That mix sounds like treatment for a getting a crop to clear.
Did the Aloe Detox make any difference in the fluid in her abdomen? Some do use the detox and found that is can help for a short period of time (Supportive Comfort Care) but ultimately a hen will succumb to the illness/condition.

I’m not sure if the detox alone did anything. All I am positive of is I gave a hen that acv mix (no detox) and it made her fluid in the abdomen completely disappear and it came back two months later. I then read about the detox and have been giving that while giving the acv mix.
I learned the acv mix through an old thread on here, I haven’t been able to find it but I will look later.

Here are her poops. Is the one on the paper towel a cecal poop?

Yes goes outside after I clean up her butt, she has been having a very dirty butt that I am 100% positive will cause flystrike.
She foraged a lot today. Usually Dev leads around and she follows but this time she was the leader around the yard. I didn’t see her eat much but she did scratch around which is impressive due to ascites and her limp.
I will tube feed again in the morning.

I just realized something....

I have been giving amoxicillin and like any other pill, I have been mixing it in yogurt for my hen.

But yogurt is a probiotic of sorts right? So I’m mixing probiotics and antibiotics together? :th

Oh and eddies comb has become crusty. What could be the reasons and treatments for that?

There shouldn't be an problems with mixing the amoxicillin with yogurt.

Her comb looks a little dry, you can apply a thin coating of vaseline if you wish.
