Ascites Draining

Pics
Ok so, I have a question. I mentioned this issue before but Dev’s infected preen gland.
I have been letting it heal from when I tried to get out all of the infection in it and today, I squeezed it a tiny bit to see what would come out... as in if it’s normal now.

It’s not, there is an olive oil like texture coming out. Not the normal stuff. Is this because she is molting?

I don’t think so, it looks normal, maybe a little bigger than usual.

Ok so two things, now with Eddie. Her hocks is getting bigger, she has this one lump of arthritis and it keeps growing.
If you have any recommendations that would be great
Also, her thumb😂
For a long time now she has had this weird thumb, no nail and pincers?? Any idea what happened?

I wouldn’t say she’s able to move around very well but I really doubt the toe is affecting her, I always thought it was goofy, just wanted to know if there was anything going on 😂
Anyways, Dev is having normal poops again! There are still some liquid ones but more solid ones are coming out. What I have noticed with Dev and Eddie is that there poop sometimes either has grit or sand. I tried to take a picture of Devs because it is loaded with it.
I am thinking:
Sand because there treats, like fruit, are wet and get mixed in with the sand before they eat them
Or
Grit and it is just discolored from being worn down.. but that’s a lot of grit.

Any ideas?

If their treats get mixed with sand, then that's why it's in the poop. It's just being processed through the gizzard.

It's not unusual for chickens to eat dirt, sand or whatever is found in their space. Looks like it's passing through ok.
