ascites in backyard chicken

When I realized my poor Ms. Green had water belly I was so unsure what to do and there was no way I could syringe the fluid from her body, I went to my mom and she has made miracle chicken juice. I don't know what the exact measurements are but it's so simple. It's water, apple cider vinegar, oil of oregano, and cinnamon. Put about 6 tablespoons over half a cup of your regular crumble chicken feed. It smells a bit like an apple crisp to be honest. You can add more tablespoons if you chicken prefers it wetter which usually mine does. This amount normally last three to four days then I put more in with more food. I hold her and let her eat it after lunch and her dinner time. It has helped her so much. Her water belly is shrinked and her breathing is improved and she is overall better. There is still the occasional bad day but it would be so much worse if she didn't have this. I hope this helps ya'll and saves a life.

You mix it and then let it sit out? Like a fermented feed?

I let the wet stuff stay in a jar but shake well before adding any to the feed. I only do a little feed at a time so it doesn't get nasty.
