Hi! Wondering if there is an update on this bird? I am wondering what the temperment of such a cross is like. Thinking ahead to a rooster who would fight a dog or hawk, but also be good with his girls?View attachment 3582122
We are pretty sure our Buttercup is a mix between a buff orpington and an aseel. She is 5 months old.
Asil over standard crosses I have had are usually pretty chill and relaxed. No given that a chicken will take on a dog or hawk. Its possible the cross would be more gentlemanly to the hens than another "standard" Rooster. You should get an Asil and try it to see for yourself. Just my opinion.Hi!
