Hello everyone! I am a new chicken keeper (well I had them in childhood) and wanted a place to post pictures of my chickens! Chicken math got me immediately as I got my first chicks because I was supposed to get 2, left with 3 and then a few weeks later got two more, fell in love with them then I got 3 more! So I currently have a total of 8! Unfortunately I cannot have more due to city limits. I also have two roosters. I am trying desperately to rehome one (he's the sweetest boy but obviously roo to hen ratio, and city limits with crowing). I will be keeping the other Roo due to suspected neurological issues he's the sweetest, slowest, gentle boy. My first 3 came from a school that hatched them from eggs and was giving them away. The teacher convinced me the 3 were female, but here I am with two roosters. My other 5 came from a local farmer who sells a variety of breeds during different months.
I hired someone to convert a shed into a coop. I've been on this site for HOURS reading everything I can about ventilation, roost space, sq feet per bird in coop/run, etc.
Anyways here are some pictures!!!
