Hi Abby! I noticed in a thread a few years ago, you mentioned you had a hen that "didn't breathe right." She's an old biddy who is eating and drinking well, preening, doing all the hen stuff. We did try to treat her but she still sometimes open mouth breathes. Did you ever "cure" your hen or did she just live with the breathing issues?
Was that my Wyandotte? If so, she just lived with it. She passed last year from an unrelated thing, and it didn’t effect her much the rest of her life :)

Ack I just realized I missed an entire sentence! LOL I have a brahma who open mouth breathes from time to time but seems to be doing normal chicken things so I was wondering if your Wyandotte was able to live with it. Occasionally she'll sneeze but I feel like it's always when she's digging around for food and the dust gets into her little nose.

My hen lived with it perfectly fine until the day she died. If your hen is able to run around, eat, sleep, and do normal chicken things, then I wouldn’t worry!
