Aurora (again a play on aurum)
Xanthe (goddess of autumn, personified and associated with the golden yellow foliage of fall)
I didn't say it, but Marge was the first thing that came into my head. It was so bad I didn't say it.
I named my silkie Greta, which means "pearl". Margareta is the long form of that name, and I think it pairs nicely with Barbarossa.
I do think the Marigold/Marge/Margareta sounds great with the Barbarossa. Marge for short, one of the others for when it's more serious. I agree that Margareta seems to fit the naming scheme we have around here. Marge/Margareta... We will try it and see how it goes.

Okay, husband's opinion is that Marge/Margareta is a good name for a Mercury, "Margareta the Mercury Grand Marquise".
In the end it's my car, but I know he's going to put a stink up about it. 🤣 Which is fine, because if he likes it too, he'll call her by it, which is entertaining to me.
He didn't favor my suggestion of Loraine, too old of a name. He briefly suggested Loretta but still was not convinced.
His suggestion, something that sounds good with an L, a T, or a C, and not French because she's not a Cadillac.
