Sun tea is amazingly good. I used to make it all the time.
It gives you flexibility to make tea YOU want vs just buying what's available. The only thing it doesn't have is convenience.

I do have some passion fruit mix loose tea I brought home from Hawaii. I should berw that

Adding sugar to cold tea is a non-starter, the sugar won't dissolve. Well, unless you stir and stir and stir until all the other patrons in the restaurant are glaring at you, frowning and clucking their tongues at you. That's why they don't serve it that way. They sweeten the tea while it's hot or add simple syrup to the tea, in which case the sugar is already dissolved. Most restaurants around here give you the option of sweet tea (swate tay) or unsweetened. I find half-and-half suits me best.

The dinner we had served COLD TEA, UNSWEETENED, with SUGAR PACKETS. I should have used my rage to heat it up.:rant
