I've incubated quail and chickens at the same time. I know, I'm a wild and crazy guy. Take the turner out early and let the quail pop around chicken eggs. But 121 eggs sounds like it's full.I don't have any roosters, so my girls aren't going to be laying fertile eggs. I did talk pretty closely with the person I got the eggs from, and the only difference between what she considered ideal hatching conditions for them and mine was .2 degrees F. The carriers up here are just hard on eggs, I think. The last order of quail eggs that I got (over a year ago), I saw the mail carrier walk up, bumping the eggs along in his sack and then casually toss the package onto my porch.
I have 121 eggs from my own quail in the incubator right now. I put them in this morning. I need to keep some for myself, but I have people who want birds.
Yes, mail carriers can be rough. Clips full of delivery drivers playing basketball with packages.
Did the egg supplier comment on humidity? Elevation? Lots of factors involved.
