I'm not certain that any of these count as "high-tech", but...
Elecom EX-G wireless trackball. Needed it because my Logitech one quit on me.
Two "for parts" laptops to fix an old laptop of mine. It was cheaper to buy two so that's what I did. I need to get photos of them.
Or the two 14TB refurbished hard drives I got for a future NAS.
