It varies. I'd like to at 9 but it doesn't always work out. 10:30 is about the latest.
Depends when I get everything for the evening done. I have a kid that I need to make sure gets fed, showered, etc etc.
Also depends on if I work the next morning to some degree.

Probably Palisades state park South Dakota.
I like a lot of places in SD.
Haven't been to many parks in the Southwest but I feel some would also be favorites.

9 days to go on my Maticoopx20 Lavender Orpington hatch, I started with 12 and tossed two clears on day 7 so 10 will go to lockdown. Question for the expert, is it a bad idea to put the eggs in coffee filters for hatching? It seams it would cut down on cleaning...

I've never thought of anything like this or tried anything similar.
I quoted this to my Leghorn thread. It gets active so maybe someone has some thoughts or has tried something similar.
