Hi :frow
I’m pretty excited! Aspen’s first egg. :celebrateYou can eat the first one they lay, right? And what are the speckles? I tried to wash them off and it didn’t really do anything. She’s a Hybrid White Layer.
Thanks!:D

She laid her second egg this morning! I’m a little surprised I didn’t expect her to lay again so soon. I’ve been seeing lots of posts where their duck lays their first egg then takes a break for a few days. I’m going to try scrambled duck egg this morning! Yay!:wee

Anything today?

We got our first egg a couple weeks ago, since then it’s been 2 then 3 a day almost like clockwork, we have one, not sure who, that sometimes waits till afternoon to lay. And sometimes not at all.
congratulations, duck eggs are like maple syrup, you don’t realize how many great friends you have till you have a supply of duck eggs and or syrup 😉
