aspen or pine for nesting boxes

Anyone. I think i heard pine is better? I have a huge bag of coalton pine shavings, a friend gave me.
 
Pine is fine. Aspen is fine as well. Only one to avoid is cedar. Not good for chickens. Widely available in pet stores for use with other pets.
