Aspiring Backyard chicken owner

Hi my name is Laura Ellen. I've been wanting to raise chickens in my backyard for some time now. I'm looking forward to exploring this site and getting to know folks with like interests. I've already learned a little bit just by reading some forums and studying the members coop builds. I am interested in raising Rhode Island Reds and Dominiques. I live in North Georgia. We have six dogs. 4 chihuahuas, one boxer/mastiff mix, and one Great Dane/Mastiff mix. All but four of them are rescues. Okay, I guess that is all for now.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Yuppers our herd of dawgs wildly varies in size. They live indoors with us. The tiny ones boss the biggest ones around. But I believe this mainly amuses the big ones, Especially when my tiniest girl fusses at my biggest boy. He gets the biggest kick out of this. He's very gentle with her because she only has use of three of her legs and weighs a little less than 5 lbs. Of course, she truly believes she is one tough dawg. I'm interested in finding out how other people's animals interact with their chickens. I also have been wanting to know about rodent problems. Anyway, thanks again for the welcome.
