Hi, my name is Aleks and my husband (George) and I traded urban lives in Toronto for a far more laid back rural lifestyle in Chelsea, Quebec a couple years back. We’re slowly growing our garden and knowledge of self-sustaining lifestyle and have had ducks on our ‘radar’ for a while now. Finally decided there is no time like the present and so we added four ducklings to our household, which also includes two Aussies and a cat. I am a graphic designer and I have a business I’m fortunate to be able to run from home while my husband commutes to work in the city. We’ve been doing a lot of reading on the forum to get acquainted with raising ducks or chickens and now that we have some of our own, joining just made sense!
