Assist or wait?

Hatch day was yesterday. The chick has been chirping in its egg for at least 16 hours with no sign of external pip. Last night, the incubator humidity dropped to 55%. Should we try to assist now? In a few hours? Tomorrow?

Seeing as it has internally pipped but made no progress I personally would at least create a safety hole to help it get plenty of air. You can even chip away at the air cell end and see if the yolk is absorbed, if it is shrink wrapped and what position the head is in. If the yolk looks to be absorbed and you are very careful, it should be safe to further assist. Last time I waited too long while 2 chicks were internally pipped I lost one and barely managed to save the other.
