Assisted hatch, thanks everyone,more heelp needed, 2nd half of day 22

Things are not going well thee only egg hatching and this had not progressed since last night. I got brave and opened the incubator to find it was STUCK to the grip mat. I gently pried it loose and proceed to pick and peel the egg off. I was worried the chick would be crippled but it pushed it legs out and with alittle more work it was free! It seem pretty big to me. All yolk was absobed and I will have to get stuck shell off its back later. Now I was brave enough to lift an egg out and when I held it I felt wiggling and heard peeping. What would you do, wait impatiently of start pipping????

"sticky" Tooo cute!! LOVE the name. How is the baby doing this morning!? These babies are due today..right?? I would wait a few more hours..maybe pip the aircell....make sure they are still ok in there....and give them a little help starting?? Its a hard call...I had to help a few of mine out as well. They just got too tired to try anymore..and was starting to dry out a bit. I just got the hole big enough for them to get air, and get thier beaks out, then they took over for the most part. Good luck...and let us know how it goes for ya.

Sticky is doing well, chirping up a storm and galavanting all over its less inclined siblings. I here peeping and feel movement on one egg, but is has not pipped . Do you think I should wait or pip it myself. It is the middle of day 22.

If it was mine, I would pip the aircell....just to make sure the wee one is getting enough air. Its a tough call....good luck! Glad Sticky is doing well!! Where are the pics!???

The second egg just pipped! I waited a short while then I took a tweezer and made the whole bigger so the beak is out. I am having a terrible time with this batch, and do not want any possible hatching to perish. This is a blue splash silkie. I think there is still another "good egg" in there. I have to find it.Wish me luck.
