The Wal-Marts in my local area had a few things, like large bags of pine shavings but the local feed stores have better prices and more quantity. I reckon if I was in bad need of something and a feed store wasn't open, then I might buy it from Wal-Mart - but I doubt it.
Ours carries feed. But then again, our local feed store is 3 miles away... not 15. SOO, unless the feed store isn't open at the time we happen to need it.... WE will just buy local.
Keep in mind that the folks with a few (or even a few more than a few) BYC are not what keeps the feed stores in business. You won't find Farmer Bob ordering 3 ton of cracked corn at Walmart and you won't find the feed store manager getting overly excited about selling a 25kg bag of chicken feed either.
I was just really surprised is all. Today I went to two different Walmarts (don't ask
) and didn't see it in those stores. Funny, the store I saw it in was in the middle of a very large town/small city. It had chicken feed, horse feed, and livestock feed. Then the more rural stores had nothing. I just found it strange and was a bit shocked
