Thank you for the suggestion but we’ve tried that also! We had to remove them because then they started picking on their butts which was WAY WAY worse.How long have you been letting the chickens free range? Is that helping? Do they run after one another and peck? I'd love to think that this will solve your problem. You may want to make a chicken saddle for the girls that have lost back feathers. They are easy to make, you can do it in an hour. Here's a pattern for you. Please post again and let us know how it's going.
