How long have you been letting the chickens free range? Is that helping? Do they run after one another and peck? I'd love to think that this will solve your problem. You may want to make a chicken saddle for the girls that have lost back feathers. They are easy to make, you can do it in an hour. Here's a pattern for you. Please post again and let us know how it's going.

Thank you for the suggestion but we’ve tried that also! We had to remove them because then they started picking on their butts which was WAY WAY worse.

Coop doesn't look 300 sq ft to me either, but certainly seems to be enough for 15 or so birds. 10x8 maybe? I know aart is better at guesstimating this than I.

No there is no rooster. We had to put my precious docile lover Mr. Big down due to the ladies picking him nearly to death.
