So, I’m debating on buying some guineafowl eggs.

My husband is not a fan of their noise. We have 6 males. I’m hoping to hatch out at least one female or one per male I already have. Any extra males will have to be eaten.

How soon can I eat them? I know they sexually mature at a year, but what about enough to eat. For sure at 6 months I knew which ones were male and female. But now that I’m familiar with their calls I’m sure I’ll be able to tell sooner.

They are sexually mature at 6 months old. They are nearly full grown by 6 months old and you would likely get a 2 to 2 1/2 lb. processed carcass at that time.
