I'm getting a shipment of Buff Brahma Bantams and Bearded D'Anvers Bantams (aka Quail Antwerp Belgians) in before too long and they will be straight run. I'd like to know, around what age can you definitively tell the gender for these two breeds?

By 6 - 8 weeks you should be able to notice a darker color, in the combs and wattles, of the males.
Where are you getting them from, if you don't mind me asking?

I actually haven't placed the order yet, but I've been planning to get them from Murray McMurray. I'd love to have these two breeds but would need to give away all the chicks that turned out to be roosters as I have not had pleasant experiences with them in the past.
Incidentally, if anyone happens to know a place where I could order these two breeds as *just female* chicks, that would be terrific

The only hatchery that sells bantam pullets only is My Pet Chicken, and they're quite a bit more expensive.
