At what age do Black Australorps begin to lay their first eggs???

we have a 27 week black australorp - laid the odd egg over teh last few weeks but we are still waiting for her to get into the egg laying pattern - she has been red for teh last 2 months.

I think you have a Mix Breed, not a true Aussie. They shouldn't have brown/reddish feathers at all. I see the front of yours has that.
