The chicks are 4 weeks 4 days ......Temps are now in the mid 50 to lower 60 at night and I have the chicks (20 of them) in there own little house with a small door so they can get a little sun during the day under my supervision. I just removed the heat lamp from my 4 week olds yesterday and it gets in the 40's here at night. They seemed to do fine last night (there are 7 of them) The light is still in the coop but in a confined area for my babies so I think since the shed is insulated and full of shavings they are going to be fine. Today was their first day outside - they look so grown up!

We removed the light from our first batch of chicks at about 5 weeks old (a week or so ago) and they are doing great. They love it outside their little house!
