Yeah I know for sure Muscovies don't get drake feathers! I used to have some and they were stolen

they were only maybe 6 weeks old!!! Darn people!!! Well I heard somewhere that when Mallards first start getting their feathers, that the male and the female plumage will look pretty much the same... Which I don't know if that's true... I guess I will just have to wait a while to find out for sure

mine are about the same age. the one that is supposed to be a boy still mostly peeps, but he sometimes makes a raspy hissy noise (which sounds like it would be male). especially if the very scary, dangerous 5 week old chicks are following them
