At what age do roosters “settle down”?

Then re-home and move on. Hens hatching chicks is more stress than I can deal with - I incubate. None of my broodies has every successfully hatched a clutch of eggs. Typically, two weeks in or so, they get bored and abandon the nest - at a cost of 20 eggs or more. I find it Frustrating.

That does sound frustrating!!
Hens hatching babies sounds fun in theory, but agreed it’s probably a lot of work!

We are actively looking to rehome him, but don’t have any takers so far.

Sounds like he needs to live in the dog crate. Good roosters don't hurt their girls.

Put him in with another rooster and see if he try’s to mate it
