Hi! I have 6 new chicks they are approximately 10 days old. They are basically pets. I have heard a lot of mixed feedback about handling them. Some people say not for a couple weeks, some say right away....I know you don’t want them to get too chilled but can’t I hold them a few minutes to encourage bonding?
Thanks for any feedback! :)

I hold them form first minut and they adore be held.

I am new to chickens but I am trying to handle mine every day. I have been picking them up for 1-2 min every day. We have also had several with pasty butt, so they are not happy about the butt washes. They are not freaking out as much when I put my hand in the brooder. Some are even climbing on my ha d or pecking at my jewelry.
