At what age will my hens start laying?

I have five chickens: 2 polish, a Jersey Giant, and 2 Maran chickens. I was wondering at what age will these chickens start to lay? My oldest chicken is around 8 months old and a Maran. Will she start to lay soon?

p.s. It has been really hot lately and I was wondering if that would effect if she would lay.

Do your chickens show signs of heat stress because that could definitely affect the laying. I don't have the breeds that you have though so I wouldn't know really at what age is average for those breeds to start laying

Heat can effect egg laying.Most chickens start between five an dsix months but you can get soem early as three and 1/2 to 4 months.

The annoying but true answer is, when they are ready. My last one laid at 11 months
