At what age will my pullets start laying?

I have 12 Buff Orpington pullets, they are now 20 weeks old, at what age will they start laying? Some guy told me today that they won't start laying until December and I know that can't be right. I had figured that they would start any time from mid-August thru September.

They should be starting to lay pretty soon. Any day now, orpingtons are a bit slower but still pretty soon I would say.

Littlebear...I have Buff orps.....they are now almost 24 weeks old. I have gotten a few pullet eggs, in the last week. But, nothing really to get excited over yet. Of course, it HAS been really hot here.

Just an update, I have at least one possibly two pullets laying. I got one on Saturday and then another one on Monday and again today. Yeah, I'm so excited.

Congrats!!!!!!! I have 5 buff orps... 1 started laying at 19 weeks, another at 20 weeks and I believe I have a third laying now too... all are now 21 weeks old... Good luck with the others!!!
