Do they typically start roosting. They are five weeks old now and have bin in their big girl coop for a week with the door closed. I can't believe they are only five weeks! I had to go back and count three times.

Anyway, they have been up the ramp because there is poop there but nothing on the roosts. I was just wondering at what age do they start?

Tomorrow I'm going open the door to the run. Can't wait to see their first reaction to grass!

They haven't been outside yet! My chicks have been going outside since they were 5 days old.
My chicks are living outside now.

Nope, they had a foster mom until last week. Brought them home and put them in their coop on lockdown for a week so they would know where home was, tomorrow they get to go into the run and I have a 3 day weekend to make sure they go in at night before the pop door closes. Once they are full grown they will be allowed to "free range" behind an electric fence. Till then they will be in a 6 x 8 run. and their 5 x 10 coop. It will be interesting/fun to see how they react!
