At what point do you give up on pellets?

I'm sharing your sense of relief! Ours like crumbles too but my husband bought pellets the last time he went to the feed store.

They were wasting a lot of the crumbles, so I thought it would be worth a try to change them over. They did NOT like the pellets. I thought, like some others mentioned - if they got hungry enough, they would eat, but it just didn't seem like the level of food in the feeder was moving over a period of several days.

I finally realized they DO like scratching around the run to pick up treats or seeds, so I started tossing a handful of the pellets into the run -- and they started eating it! Wooh! That was a relief because I was afraid they weren't eating enough.

They are laying and I can't tell they were losing any weight; but with the heat we've been having -- when they started eating again, it was one less thing I had to worry about with them!
