I have 2 18" X 40" windows across from each other in my coop. They have plywood 'shutters' that I can close in bad weather. At what temps should the windows be closed at night? I figured about in the 40's -- does that sound about right? I don't want the chickies too cold but I don't want the coop to smell and have too little ventilation either. (I do have a 4" X 44" ventilation slot that stays open near the roof all the time).

Thats what I do with my coop. When it gets 40 or below I shut the windows.
