Hello! I have 14 chicks, they are 7 weeks old. They are still inside for a few more days but will be going to the coop this weekend. Last Friday, I had one of my welsummer chicks come up ataxic. Pretty suddenly she was falling backwards and very uncoordinated. I separated her from the flock and immediately started supplementing with rooster booster. She seemed to be staying the same, with maybe a little bit of improvement but today she seems worse. I also noticed today her neck feathers are very flakey. Otherwise she is eating and drinking and pooping normal. Looking for any suggestions. Can I use the rooster booster daily for a couple weeks? She really hates it. Or if there are any other vitamin supplements I can use? I’m assuming this is a vitamin deficiency but of course can’t say for sure. The other 13 chicks are 100% normal. All chicks are vaccinated for mareks. Thank you!

Electrolytes can cause diarrhea if used more than a few days. I would get some human vitamin E 400 UpIU soft gels and give 1 daily orally by emptying the softgel. Also give 1/4 tablet of human Super B complex daily. A bit of scramble egg, just a little can give selenium. Those are treatments for neurological symptoms. Is there any chance that she could have coccidiosis? Symptoms are weakness, lethargy/sleepiness, not eating, and runny watery poops. Treatment for that is Corid in the water 2 tsp per gallon of water, but stop vitamin b.
