I need help! My guinea fowl was just attacked by our dog, I was able to catch him and get him to let her go, but she is now injured but no blood, it appears her wings are injured but she never let's us touch her, so I am not sure how to help her! I have her separated in a safe place to let her rest. But not sure what else i can do?

If you can catch it, cover its head loosely with something like a scarf or towel so it can't see. It should calm it enough to do an examination. Be very careful with its legs as they are fragile.

Ok thank you I will try that but anytime we try to touch her she freaks out, even more now of course. I am worried that her wings may be broken because when she got up to run into our barn to hide they were drooping down.

I'm worried about picking her up and damage her wings more?

What do I do if it IS broken?

Okay.So I was able to catch her and check her out.It appears that there is a puncture wound just under the base of her wing but fortunately it doesn't appear that the wing itself is actually broken. So can I help her in any way?Do I just let it heal on its own? I'm not sure how to help her.

Puncture wounds are bad because they need to heal from the inside. If you can, flush it with something like liquid betadine.

Good luck.
