I have a 42 egg hovabator which is still air and I'm having a hard time with keeping the temperature right cause im so used to a fan one. I was looking up the kit you need to attach a fan on a hovabator and here in the Uk its £50. I dont really want to be shelling out so much for a fan so would it be easy enough to buy a cheap fan off ebay or someplace that are for making your own bators and just attach it to the roof of the hovabator?

I would think the easiest way to do it would be a computer fan. You will need to have a converter with a plug and the fan. It should fit on the top between the windows. You could turn it to blow backwards onto the top to go around the sides instead of right straight down on the eggs. Just use long screws and something like a pen shaft cut to hold the fan away from the top some. I thought about getting one without a fan and doing that but ended up with a Genesis with fan. It blows out the sides so I am thinking it is best not to blow directly on the eggs.
