How do you attach separate pieces of hardware cloth together to make it predator safe?

I'm not sure if you meant this, but when I was doing the section in the middle of my brooder top, I made it 2x2, anyway...the cloth was just not wide enough! So I had to use two pieces, and I sewed it together with a thicker gauge wire, works wonderfully.

They make whats called "hog rings" and J clips that you can crimp on with pliers. Or you can just sew them togother with wire.

You can also use poultry staples which are tiny versions of fence staples.
Use thin pieces of boards as battens and screw them over seams.
5/8" conventional stable help to place mesh in position.
Save the wire from the roll to use to marry seams and for future repairs.

You mean show you the mess. :lol Does not resemble a coop right now. soon...

I used wire ties to put the hardware cloth together

Your local Agway store has little rings and special pliers made especially for that. A lot easier than sewing them together with wire.
