so I just got home from school and went around to check on the birds I go around behind the barn where we house our guinea fowl and see a lot of feathers like a lot and I'm like this isn't good as I expected there was a guinea hen body in the middle of the cage now we really need to some repairs like there are holes everywhere but I have no idea what happened there are puncture wounds on the bird's side but besides that, the head was removed it was about 2 feet away and completely messed up

not sure how an owl would get in uh I was thinking raccoon because we have lots of them
i will get pics of the bird for better idea
this is a old photo of the cage

Yeah with the setup covered and chain link it was a coon or possum. You really need to cover the botom of that setup in hardware cloth to stop anything from reaching in.

Ok probably raccoon then and in that case you could concrete the bottom to stop digging, you could like I said and another layer of fence.

along the bottom, there is 4 feet tall chicken wire and there is a large hole in the back top right corner

ok so I closed the birds in they are locked in the barn the cage is the same as it was last night just no birds I put the body back in there and drizzled some wet cat food around it before putting our trail camera facing the body
