So something type of pine Martin got into my coop the other week, killed all but my Cockrell and one hen. Came back again two nights after and found a different way in, killed the last hen and has injured my boy.
I can see it's tried to get around his throat, there were small bits of blood on his right side nea his wattles. His left side all around his crop and wattles I think is swollen but also damaged.
He breathes with his mouth open now and sounds rattly.
He can kind of walk but flops to his left side, then manages to walk like a drunk for a handful of paces then freaks out, jumps and flaps and throws his head about. Then he lays down and settles

I've been syringe feeding and watering him, he seems like he has strength and can hold and move his head up and down, he hasn't really made much noise but when he's tried it sounds like somebody with a sore throat trying to make an attempt at a noise.

My question is, do you think he will survive? Or is it worth me putting him out of his misery? It's been two nights (on day 3) and doesn't appear to be getting any worse but not particularly any better either

If you haven't done so, clean out his beak.

Inspect his neck injuries - if you can get some photos of that it may be helpful. Flush any wounds with saline or chlorhexidine, trim feathers away from the wounds if necessary to help keep them clean and easier to treat.

See if he can eat/drink on his own once you have him all cleaned up.

Provide him with vitamins that contain E and B1.

Only you can determine the extent of his injuries, the quality of life and how much pain/suffering he's in. Chickens with time and personalized care can often recover from injury.
