Wed early morning hours my coop was attacked by an unknown predator and now one of the chickens is missing and presumed dead (due to the amount of feathers and blood) and another has a broken wing. Since the wing just hangs there and drags on the ground my friend has recommended that we amputate the wing once she has recovered a little from the attack. I would like some feedback on the situation before we do it as she is one of my favorites and I don't want to lose her. My friend has done this sort of procedure before as he used to work on a chicken farm. Thanks for any help you guys and gals may be able to provide.
