Attention Scrapbookers and Stampers or anyone. :)

I need some advice please! Ok, so here's the deal: My daughter is a Stampin Up demonstrator, I really like their stuff but..... I have looked at so many other companies stuff and I like them too! I love stamps but I am more of a scrapbooker, Close to my heart has some beautiful stamps, paper, albums, etc, The Angel company seems to be my favorite as far as Stamps are concered, they do not have any albums, but LOTS of other stuff. I am sooooo confused about which one to join. Then I think, why join any, the have tons of stamps, paper, etc at the scrapbook store here. But I want to I guess get a discount on my products. I just can't seem to find everything I am looking for in Stampin Up, lots of people purchase stuff from my daughter. I don't know what to do, I have been thinking about this for weeks now and decided to ask some BYC folks for help.

can't your daughter order for you through her account instead of you joining that one? should help you narrow things down a bit

I don't stamp enough to join anything, but I'd go with whichever one has the most things you want

I am an SU demo also. I know what you mean about not having everything you want. We have the heaviest cardstock, and a lot of tools that work better than other companies. As a demo, we do not have to buy "only SU", but we cannot promote other companies. You may buy and use stuff from other companies if you like, but do not provide links and such to would-be customers. It will hurt your business. SU is a wonderful company to work for, and we are getting lots of new stuff so we will catch up! In the meantime, you get great rewards and discounts. Plus, you and your daughter can make such a good team! Check out this Yahoo group for LOTS of inspiration!

I would seriously hesitate to become a rep for any stamp company right now. I was a Dream Impressions rep and loved it but I was about my only customer. I would send family members stamping products for birthday and Christmas gifts but I bought way too much of my own product. Buy from your DD instead, and have parties for her where you'll get the wonderful hostess sets.

I'm a scrapbooker too and am going on a retreat in April, where I will scrapbook our Housechicken, Chickie's trip to the AL/Fl coast last month. I'm so looking forward to this. The retreat is up near Atlanta at Temple.

Maybe we could make some pages, photo them and imput them to an album here on the forum.

I've been a crazy stamper for about 20 years! My sis had a stint as an SU demonstrator, so I know the biz.

I say: order whatever stamp you LOVE, from whatever website you trust (I trust "Addicted to Rubber Stamps" - they have a search option, so if you want "chicks", "chickens", "hens", "oysters", "shorebirds", etc., you can go right to them).

I'll be stamping tonight as a matter of fact, Valentine cards for some of my friends on BYC!
