Hi! I have a young Cornish Cross X Turken chick, who is doing great, but has recently had some strange stuff going on.
His crop is squishy. Soft and squishy. His crop is normally firm and large, but it’s been “empty” and squishy feeling for 2 days now. He has also had straight liquid coming out of him. Instead of pooping, he projectiles poopy water out of him.
He doesn’t seem to be acting any different than he normally does, still explores and runs around and etc. My other chick who is the same breed as him has a squishy crop but it is more firm and “normal” feeling.
Should I be concerned? I attached a picture of the chick below.

Photos of the poop?

When are you checking the crop?
To get a fairly accurate gauge of crop function, check the crop first thing in the morning before he's had anything to eat/drink. If the crop is Empty in the morning, it should be fine. Check it for several days in a row. Also give his breath a good whiff and look inside his beak for any lesions or Canker.

What do you feed?
Has he been dewormed?

IF the crop is not emptying in the morning, access and treat according to the article below.
